PCB Build

Going the PCB route is the recommended way to install GaggiMate. The store is now open at https://shop.gaggimate.eu/ and you can source it either as part of a kit that comes with pre-crimped wires included or on its own. If you buy the kit you won’t need any of the components below.

Components

If you want to go for self-sourcing, you’ll need the following components:

• AC SSR 40-DA (AliExpress)
• K-Type M3/M4 Thermocouple - 0.5m (AliExpress)
• 22 AWG Silicone Wire for LV wiring (AliExpress)
• 18 AWG Silicone Wire for HV wiring (AliExpress)
• 6.35mm Spade Connectors (AliExpress)
• 6.35mm Piggyback Connectors - only for Gaggia Classic (AliExpress)
• Fork connectors (SV1.25-5s) (AliExpress)

GaggiMate Pro

• Pressure Transducer 0 - 1.6MPa, 5V Supply, 0.5 - 4.5V Output (AliExpress)

• 4mm ID 6mm OD PTFE Tube (AliExpress)
• 6mm OD Pressure T-Fitting PE - PE 1/4” (AliExpress)

for Gaggia Classic Pro/Evo/E24 or Silvia (Barb fittings)

• High Pressure Silicone braided hose (~6mm ID, 12mm OD) (AliExpress)
• 6mm Barb T-Fitting (AliExpress)
• 6mm Barb to G1/4 female fitting - PCF 6mm 1/4” (AliExpress)

Tools

• Wire stripper or knife
• Crimping tool (SNA02C-06-06WF-58B) - This one will do all the crimps required in the build (AliExpress)
• Screwdriver
• Wrench / Spanner
• Zipties (good to have)
• Cable labels/tape (good to have)

If you bought the GaggiMate Standard Rev 1.0 PCB in the Groupbuy in 2024, use the following connectors instead:
